Before you arrive – when we remind you of your upcoming appointment – we will ask ADA Covid-19 screening questions. These questions can be found here. *Please gather a list of your medications and bring them with you to your appointment.
When you arrive – you will be greeted at the front door by a team member wearing a surgical mask. The team member will take your temperature and record it in your chart. You will be asked the ADA screening questions again. You will then be asked to use hand sanitizer and put on a mask before entering the lobby.
You will see that our waiting room has socially distanced seating. We no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean & disinfect.
As you enter your clinical room – you will be asked to rinse with a hydrogen peroxide rinse for 60 seconds, to reduce oral microbes, before the procedure begins.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
We have installed Air Filtration systems, 8-Hepa Filters, all through the office and we have fans in our windows blowing inside air outside.
Making your Next Appointment – Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
Checking Out – After your treatment is complete, you will be directed to the front desk. You will check out, make payment or make follow up appointments & the exit the building.
Cleanliness & Sterilization – Our team members clean the entry area, doors & door handles, reception area, front desk, credit card machines, etc. after every patient has exited an area. These are wiped down & sterilized.
